Tea for Two, Tea for the World

Nothing warms the body and the soul like a hot cup of tea. And more and more evidence points to many tangible and long-term health benefits of regular tea consumption. No wonder tea has been enjoyed and revered for centuries in so many countries.

One can now find dozens of teas from all over the world in just about every US food market. But as good as it is to have such variety, we can’t forget that these imports have a carbon impact when shipped thousands of miles to get into our teacups. If you can’t give up your favorite teas from overseas, consider buying from organic sources that practice fair trade agreements supporting the locality where the product is made. I found this set available at Gaiam.com It comes with 1 oz each of three exotic blends: Ancient Emerald Green Tea, Blueberry Rooibos, and Masala Chai. Seems like it would be a good stocking stuffer for a lady or guys (like me) who are closet tea-lovers.
